Paris Packaging Week served as Sonoco’s first major European event after merging its metal and rigid paper packaging operations. The company presented its unified portfolio, including rigid paper containers, aerosol cans, food cans and promotional packaging.

Francesco Giannolo stated the new business focuses on providing the right material solutions for customers, with all products designed for circularity, performance and shelf appeal.

Sonoco highlighted its innovative two-piece steel aerosol can G3, which offers steel’s sustainability with aluminium-like appearance and high pressure resistance. Steel’s high recycling rate and recycled content were also emphasized.

The company also supported brands with compliance services for regulations like PPWR and EPR. With over 50 EMEA production sites, Sonoco helps reduce logistics and carbon footprints.

Sonoco will continue its showcase at Interpack in Düsseldorf this May, launching new recyclable paper and metal packaging innovations.
